Sergey Shishkarev outlined the objectives of FC Chernomorets in the new season
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delo Group Sergey Shishkarev held a working meeting with managers, coaches, and players of FC Chernomorets, where he discussed current issues and objectives ahead of the new season.
In season 2022/2023, the club won the Second League title ahead of schedule and received the right to enter the First League for season 2023/2024. Prior to that, FC Chernomorets played in the First League in season 2011/2012. Sergey Shishkarev congratulated the staff of Chernomorets with the victory in the last season and thanked them for their work, noting that in the future he expects high results from the club.
"It is very important to understand that in two or three years we will set the task to enter the Russian Premier League (RPL). I would like to see you play in the European competitions as well. I am sure that the time will come when we return to the international arena," Shishkarev said, adding that in season 2023/2024 the team should aim for a place in the top ten.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delo Group underlined that to implement the plans to enter the RPL it is necessary to build a stadium in Novorossiysk that meets the requirements of the league. "There are two options: the first, priority is to reconstruct the existing stadium and the second, reserve one is to build a new arena in another place. We have not more than three years to solve this question. In any case we will inevitably see a new unique sports facility in Novorossiysk," said Sergey Shishkarev.
Construction of a modern training base has already begun for the team, which will include residential buildings, a hotel, a swimming pool, and other facilities.
Delo Group is a co-founder of FC Chernomorets, the Group companies have been supporting the team on Sergey Shishkarev’s initiative since September 2022. In October 2022, Konstantin Zyryanov became the head coach of the club. With the new coach the team played 20 matches scoring 14 wins. Konstantin Zyryanov will continue to coach Chernomorets next season at the new level.
