President of HFR shares impression of the Convention on the GRF “SportAccord” in Sochi
On April 22, 2015 the Sport Accord Convention 2015 World Sport and BusinessSummit was attended by heads of the Handball Federationof Russia (HFR) – the president Sergey Shishkarev HFR and first vice-president Andrei Lavrov. Mr. Shishkarev shared his impression of the Sochi forum.
– Sergey, with many parties to the Convention SportAccord you personally know, but as president of the HFR you met for the first time …
– Yes, of course, I took an informal meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, I spoke with Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko, with other sports leaders who congratulated me on being elected president of the HFR two weeks ago and wished success in my work.
– What did you talk with the minister of sports in our country?
– Our meeting with Mutko was very warm, we’re countrymen, both from the Krasnodar region, known for quite some time, since the days when he was president of the RFU, and I was in charge professional football club. Of course, exchanged views with us in Sochi did not have time, but we agreed to meet in Moscow, where I can read more about the Minister of the state of affairs in our sport.
– This morning, you participated in the Business panel, organized by the newspaper “Vedomosti” in the Sochi summit …
– There was a lively exchange of views on the development of professional sports in Russia, I participated in a discussion with the President of the Continental Hockey League, Dmitry Chernyshenko. As for our species, I talked about our plans for the preparation of development programs handball until 2025, which should be adopted at the autumn conference of our federation.
– As you know, among the leaders of the international federations, making Sochi is Hassan Mustafa, president of the International Handball Federation (IHF). Did you meet him?
– I have received from him congratulations on his election, and our meeting will be held tonight.
