On September the 5th a meeting of the Marine Board Presidium Members will be held in the frame of the 10th International Exhibition “GIDROAVIASALON ‘2014” in Gelendzhik, under the chairmanship of Dmitriy Rogozin, Chairman of the Marine Board under the Government of Russian Federation.

The participants will discuss measures to increase throughput capacity of Kerch ferry crossing and organization of a high-speed coastal railway line between the ports of Krasnodar krai and the Crimea. These questions remain urgent given the current traffic jams at the Kerch ferry crossing. Sergey Shishkarev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Marine Board confirmed that the agenda is under constant attention of the Russian Government. “The region’s steady development depends upon creation of the transport infrastructure and transport management. It is impossible to talk about the sustainment or investment prospects without an effective transportation logistics. You know, there’s still a long way till the launch of the bridge between the Krasnodar krai and the Crimea”, – said Shishkarev.
The Chairman of the Presidium informed that apart from members of the Marine Board and Russian ministries, other interested parties will attend this meeting, including regional executive authorities, transport sphere organizations, mayors, and yacht-clubs directors. All in all, the discussion panel will be comprised of a large number of professionals and public representatives, which gives hope that the right decisions will be found.
