The Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) has awarded Sergey Shishkarev, its vice-president and chairman of the Supreme Council of the Russian Handball Federation (HFR), with a certificate of merit for his significant contribution to the development of the Olympic movement, physical culture and sports in the Russian Federation. ROC President Stanislav Pozdnyakov personally presented the award at a meeting of the organization's Executive Committee.

The world premiere of the feature film “Fedya. People's Footbal Player” - a sports blockbuster on the iconic Spartak Moscow midfielder and USSR national team player Fedor Cherenkov — took place in Moscow.
