Sergey Shishkarev was elected Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Handball Federation of Russia (HFR), according to the organization's Telegram channel.
An extraordinary conference of the HFR took place in Moscow on Wednesday.
The conference delegates approved changes to the charter of the organization. These include changes in the names of the governing bodies. The Supreme Council became the HFR collegial governing body, with its chairman being the highest official.
The HFR Supreme Council included Eduard Hakopyan, CSKA women's handball club Director General; Elena Belanova, Kuzbass Handball Federation Chair; Stella Vartanyan, Dynamo Handball Development Center Director General (Volgograd); Maxim Gulevich, Head of HFR Legal Department; Oleg Zholobov, Moscow Region Handball Federation President; Sergey Ziza, Zenit handball club Director (Saint Petersburg); Boris Kipkeyev, HFR Ethics Commission Chairman; Alexey Kiyashko, HFR Referee Commission Deputy Chairman; Sergey Prigolovkin, Handball Fast Project Manager; Anton Revenko, Rostov-Don Handball Club Director General (Rostov-on-Don); Andrey Stepanov, SSOR Olimp Director (Togliatti); Igor Stepanov, HFR Supreme Council Deputy Chairman; Mikhail Chipurin, Moscow Handball Federation Executive Director and Oleg Shalayev, Rector of Siberian State University of Physical Culture and Sport.
